 Preliminary Information :

   1. Name of the student :
   2. Class : VII
   3. Roll No :
   4. Name of the Lesson / Unit : Fractions and Decimals

Detailed Information of the Project :
1.Title of the Project : Expressing time spent for daily life activities as a fractions of whole day arranging them in ascending order.
2. Objectives of the Project :
  i. Representing fractions in graphical form.
ii. Arranging fractions in an order.
iii. Writing fractions in simplest form.
3. Materials used : Sketch pens, paper, pen, pencil, scale.
4. Tools :
  i. Collection of data : Collection of data regarding to time spent for my regular daily life activities.
ii. Simplification : Simplification fractions to its lowest terms.
iii. Arranging in order : Arranging the fractions in ascending order.
5. Procedure : I noted the information regarding to time spent for my daily life activities.

Collection of information :

Problem Solving :
Expressing in fractional form :
There is 24 hours in a day

Visual Representation :

Green : Time spent for sleeping
Yellow : Time spent for studying
Dark Orange : Time spent for school
Blue : Time spent for playing
Red : Regular activities
Purple : Watching T.V

Arranging in ascending order :
As denominator are equal (like fractions), we can easily arrange the fractions in order by comparing numerators.
   .'. 1/24 < 2/24 < 3/24 < 4/24 < 6/24 < 8/24

writing fractions in simplest form :

Conclusion : I represented my daily life activities in fraction form, visually represented the fractions simplified to its lowest terms & also wrote in an order.

Doubts : How can we compare fractions whole numerator are equal but denominators are different?

Acknowledgement : I convey my sincere thanks to who are co-operate & putting their earnest efforts in completing the project
